Trackballs
The TK Panel will control your Color Wheels, for example, if you select your “Primaries>Wheels”, you will be able to control the Lift, Gamma, and Gain values, whereas if you select your "Primaries>Log" you will control your Shadow, Midtone, and Highlight values.
In DaVinci Resolve 17, it’s also possible to control the High Dinamic Range (HDR) wheels, by selecting it.
The offset won’t be controlled by the trackballs, unless you have a panel with all 4 wheel controls.
The trackball with affect the RGB values, while the rings will affect the luminance (Y) values.
Reset buttons
Each trackball has two reset buttons
The ball reset button will reset only the RGB values.
The Dial Reset button will reset the YRGB value (master reset).
* The Resolve menu File>Project Settings…Color tab “Master reset retains RGB balance” option will affect how the resets work. So, if you want for the Dial Reset Button to reset only the Y values, you can tick that option.
A and B Buttons
The “B” button switches between the Resolve BYPASS mode and turns the current grade on and off.
The “A” button is not used.
* The Resolve BYPASS is used when you want to view your original ungraded footage, without touching your nodes. This useful for the you have one of your nodes purposely disabled, and you don’t want to mess that up.
